Alcone Pascal XT: Building Instructions

The cabinet should be built with 19 mm MDF or multiplex board. For further quietening down the cabinet, 2 mm Bitumex boards could be used, however, it didn't seem to be necessary to us.

As damping material 1/2 bag of polyester damping material should be used for the upper part and 1 to 1.5 bags for the lower part, ensuring that the bass reflex tube is not covered. Alcone Pascal XT

Pascal XT: Crossover

The crossover components should be either hot glued onto a wooden board or attached with cable fasteners and wired afterwards. A universal PCB could also be used, where the wires of all components are fed through the PCB and soldered on the other side. Alcone Pascal XT
If a valve amp is being used we recommend to adjust the impedance by installing a serial resonant circuit with the following components:
- Electrolytic capacitor, smooth 47 uF
- Air-core coil 0,33 mH / 0,7 mm
- Resistor 4,7 Ohm, 20 Watt
All components need to be connected in series, the two ends will be connected to the loudspeaker terminals.

Pascal XT: Finished Crossover, Diagram

The Pascal's finished crossover contains only high quality components:
- distortion free air-core coils
- 10 Watt metal oxide resistors
- high frequency path: high quality Audyn-CAP MKP capacitors (in the picture on the right)
- low frequency path: MKP capacitors as well
